Entada rheedii seeds are also known as African Dream Herb beans or sea beans. They are large flat seeds, shiny dark chocolate in colour. Tobacco made from the white inside of this seed has been used for ages to help induce vivid dreaming.
Indigenous to the green river valleys of the eastern cape province of South Africa, this obscure flowering species is regarded by Xhosa diviners as a sacred plant with the ability to induce remarkably vivid and prophetic dream.
Relatively small amounts of root (250 mg range) are reported to be active. The plant exerts only minimal alterations in waking consciousness, yet the effects upon the dream state can be profound.
The root can be cut into smaller pieces with a pair of scissors or you can a file to create smaller shavings.
