Salvia Divinorum (also known as Diviner's Sage, Ska María Pastora or Seer's Sage) is a strong plant-based hallucinogen. The main psychoactive compound in Salvia is Salvinorin A.
You can buy Salvia Divinorum in the form of dried leaves or as a standardized Salvia extract. Salvia Divinorum is part of the mint family, or Lamiaceae, which includes sage and is used by the Mazatecs in Mexico for religious rituals.
What are the effects of Salvia Divinorum?
Even if you are experienced with other hallucinogens, a Salvia trip may feel completely different from any other trip you have had so far.
Salvia is by no means a “party drug” and should only be consumed in safe and familiar surroundings where you feel comfortable. And like with most entheogenic experiences, Salvia is best used in the company of people you trust. How to dose Salvia Divinorum
We offer Salvia Divinorum in the form of dried leaves or as a standardized Salvia extract. The traditional way to use Salvia is to chew 8 to 20 leaves (2-8 grams of dried leaves) and holding them under the tongue for 15 - 30 minutes and then spitting it out. It is important not to swallow your saliva, instead, let your sublingual mucous absorb the Salvinorin A.
For a faster, but also stronger effect, we recommend smoking the pure, standardized Salvia extract. When smoking Salvia extract you should heat 0.1 – 0.3 grams of Salvia 5x extract at 250°C or higher, preferably with a bong and blowtorch. If you are using Salvia 10x extract, you should lower the dosage to 0.05 – 0.15 grams.
If you are a first time user, our advice would be to start with a small dose to test your sensitivity, because the effects can differ from person to person. Some people are very sensitive to the effects of Salvinorin A while others have a higher natural tolerance for this substance.
How long does a Salvia trip last?
When chewing dried Salvia Divinorum leaves, you will start feeling the effects in about 10 to 30 minutes of chewing, and the trip typically peaks within 5 to 30 minutes. In the next 30 to 90 minutes, the effects will slowly dissipate.
When smoking Salvia extracts, the onset of effects is a lot faster, typically between 1 or 2 minutes, reaching their peak after 5-10 minutes and then gradually subside. The total duration of the experience can be 20 minutes to 1 hour.
Is Salvia Divinorum dangerous?
So far, there are no known (direct) physical dangers associated with Salvia, but research on this subject is still lacking. The biggest threat is when moving around while tripping on Salvia. Your coordination will be impaired. If you have a history of mental illness, we strongly recommend not to use Salvia.
Is Salvia Divinorum addictive?
As far as we know, Salvia does not seem to be addictive, both physically and mentally. The heavy effects are usually enough to discourage frequent use.
