Product information
Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a tree indigenous to South East Asia but it's also found in tropical and sub-tropical regions of Asia and Africa. It's a tall leafy tree, some trees reaching heights of almost 30 meters.
Kratom Thai from Sacred Plants is a very finely powdered (250 micron) herb, making it very easy to mix into a cup of kratom tea. This Thai variety is being cultivated at a plantation in Indonesia. Through selective harvesting and advanced drying techniques, this variation of kratom is unique in its character and highly sought after.
Effects
Effects come on within five to ten minutes after use and last for several hours. Kratom has both stimulating and depressant qualities. Some sources say that it is a stimulant in lower doses, becoming sedative in higher doses. The feeling has been described as happy and active, with a strong desire to do work.
Sometimes when using kratom for the first time, your brain is not sure how to react to the new substance and is not sure what to do with it. Therefore the first few times you use kratom it may not work or will have a light effect until the brain receptors have figured out how to process it.
Usage
Kratom Thai is active from 1 gram and can be mixed with any liquid (hot water, or a milkshake, for example). Use 2 grams for a mild effect and up to 4 grams for strong effects. In our experience, most people especially enjoy making kratom tea out of this variety.
Warning
We advise not to participate in traffic or other activities that demand your concentration. Usage of kratom in high dosages may be mildly habit-forming. Acute side effects include dry mouth, loss of appetite and constipation. Side effects from long-term use include weight loss, insomnia, and a darkening of the skin, particularly on the cheeks. Do not combine with MAO-inhibitors.
Self-treatment is never recommended especially if you are suffering from serious conditions such as depression or anxiety. They should never be treated without a checkup from a medical professional.
