Traditional Chinese medicine mushroom treating canine cancer
This mushroom is commonly known as Yunzhi mushroom. It was used for over 2000 years in traditional Chinese medicine. The compound, suspected of having a stimulating effect on the immune system, is also called polysaccharopeptide (PSP). For several decades studies have suggested that the PSP could help fight cancer.
The only problem with this kind of study is that they don't always measure what's most important: do people live longer?
This is why the study was conducted on dogs with hemangiosarcoma natural. 15 dogs participated in the test, divided into 3 groups of 5, each group receiving a different dose. Blood samples were taken from dogs to medical care. The researchers were astonished; the formula derived from this Chinese mushroom worked so well they needed to double check if the tissues actually showed signs of hemangiosarcoma.
The PSP-based formula is expensive, but unlike chemotherapy has no known adverse effects.
