Yopo snuff and outer space.

This was my first experience with yopo. No matter how much reading up you do on this stuff it will not prepare you for its potency or effects in the slightest. I chose to make a snuff out of 5 seeds, which as far as I've read is a large dosage. First of all, I put the seeds in a pan and lightly toasted them. Once the shells had cracked, I de-shelled the seeds and crushed them up. After they were in a fine powder I added about 20% baking soda to the mix. I've heard lime is better but couldn't find any where I live. I rarely if ever snort anything, so I was totally un-prepared for the amount of snuff that I'd made up. I'd racked up 8 lines and in comparison to speed lines I've done before these were gigantic. I'd say each line had 4 or more points of the snuff in it. Contrary to my concerns, it was relatively easy to snort it all. The sheer volume of it was not without its side effects though. Immediately my face went tomato red, my eyes started to water and there was a great pressure on my face. I was up and walking around at this time, balance was becoming hard to control. Four minutes or so in my temperature rose so I took off my shirt then laid down on my bed and closed my eyes. The insides of my eyelids were not the usual black you'd expect. They were red. The pressure and pain that was before only in my head had now crept over my entire body. It was very intense and very uncomfortable. The trip kicked in about a minute later. I started seeing simple 2D geometric shapes in the red on my eye lids. The became more intricate and morphed quicker and quicker. Colours now kicked in. Massively psychedelic greens and blues - fully like the ones you see on TV that try to emulate an LSD trip from the 70's. By this time the pain had become either too intense I was enjoying it, or it had dulled down to a euphoric pressure. The trip went along nicely for a few more minutes. The shapes were spectacular. Then I hurled. I'd read that spewing wasn't all that uncommon so I'd put a bucket next to my bed just in case. I still had my eyes closed at that stage so I missed the bucket mostly. I remember saying to myself "Damn it, Thats going to be a nasty mess to clean, but god did that feel good." I felt ill still so I decided to go to the bathroom. Opening my eyes was the best thing ever. The open eye hallucinations were spectacular. My hands were purple with electronics running all through them. Pulses of light were running from my heart and running along my arteries. The 2D shapes were there: purple, red, blue, green, yellow and orange flowers all spinning around about a meter from my face. I stood up and swam through the sea of air to my door. Opened it up and walked down my hall to the bathroom. Every step I took my vision bounced. Like what you see when a video camera on a tripod gets hit by an earthquake. Or the effect used on the Crazy Town & Orgy - Darkside video clip. Slowly the hallucinations faded, I'd say they lasted about 30 minutes. I had locked myself in the bathroom now. Although the visions had dissipated, the peak of the trip had yet to start. I'm glad I locked myself in because for the next hour or so I was a mess. I'll describe what physically what happened first, then I'll go onto the trip. For anyone reading this please don't take these effects as a negative to yopo, they are a very interesting experience, just make sure you are in a safe place if you are to try a 5 seed trip. I vomited probably about 4-5 times total. Constantly blowing the crap out of my nose, and drooling. For most of it I experienced a total lack of body control. I was fapping around on the floor like I was having an epileptic fit; or was sitting on the toilet flailing my arms about, biting at my tongue, licking mirrors and the tile floor, yelling out vowel sounds or random words. Please, don't have sharp objects with you if you try this. Later on I took a shower to try and clean myself up a little, and almost shaved my tongue. The mental part of the trip totally blew my mind. I seriously didn't care how much of a mess I was in because of what was happening in my head. First off, any sound that I heard was amplified and changed around. The sound of a plastic bag was worthy of a symphony. There were so many visions I can't remember them all, but some I can are these: I few to the sun, made first contact with aliens and went to their planet. Went to many places all over the world (just to let you know I've never been out of my country). My brother came home when I was locked in the bathroom and came to see if I was alright. He said I was in there for about 30 minutes after that. My recollection of time was that about 5-6 months had passed. After I came back from my intergalactic and international travels my visions were more close to home. Everyday life things, going to work, seeing friends etc. The trip started to hit me in waves when I was coming down off it. I'd be totally lucid, thinking it had worn off, then I was back in fairy land. This seemed to go on for days as sounds and events kept repeating themselves like a hardcore case of deja vu. I kept hearing my brother and other housemate come home, the sound of their keys, voices of friends etc. Then I'd go out of the bathroom, go to sleep, wake up, read, eat, work, party, take some yopo, spew, be back in the bathroom. There was apparent months of this with almost the same everything, but enough differences to just be a really mundane existence instead of blatant repetition. In reality I hadn't left the bathroom. These loops made me feel like I was dreaming. I do a lot of lucid dream work so I decided to test my theory and turn the light off. (In a dream you cannot change lighting conditions. So when you flick the switch in a light room in a dream it should stay light.) The room went dark. The relaisation that this repetition was infact happening had a very positive effect on my trip. I started to bend time in my mind - I went back in time and re-lived pieces of my past similar to what you do in a dream. The difference here was I felt all the sensations like they were there. Water from waterfalls; smells of the farm I grew up on; having sex with an ex; the rush from abseiling dams. Moving from the past to the future things became a little crazy. I did things that I never thought I'd be doing - eating feces, adultery (not that I'm married now though), sex with same sex partners, and a whole heap of things. It was like my Freudian Ego and Super-ego were totally repressed and my Id had time to shine. A small amount of paranoia set in at this stage. The feelings that I'd never be the same, I'd broken my brain etc. I had quick visions of coming in and out of asylums. They didn't worry me too much as I had them under control. Reading up on metaprogramming and associated literature before attempting yopo would be a good idea. Because if your trip turns south at anytime and you were unable to fix it I'm sure it would be an extremely frightening experience. By the time I got into the shower I was much more coherent but still had no idea of time and I was still licking shit. As I said before, don't try to shave. I got out of the shower, stuck some gel in my hair and my mouth and had a few more visions. Then, as quick as it started, it went. The comedown was real nice. I was totally fine for about an hour, ate some food, got a headache, then went to bed. Currently its the next morning and I'm feeling fine. Conclusion: It was a fantastic ride I must say. I'll do it again definitely. Maybe not such a large dose, I'd like to be able to keep a little motor control next time. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a massively intense trip, but wouldn't wish it on anyone who hasn't tried other psychedelics before hand.
