Storm Thorgerson (1944-2013) made lots of album covers for influential bands like Pink Floyd, Muse, The Mars Volta and Black Sabbath. Synaptic stimuli posted a lovely impression of his work.
Chops Wanderweird
In his drawings visionary artist Chops Wanderweird uses influences from Christian iconography, sacred geometry, mandalas and video games to communicate ideas that resemble those of Alan Watts, Timothy Leary and other influential psychonauts.
Wanderweird loves live painting at festivals and created the amazing graphic novel ‘Remember’ that you can play online. It’s “a meditation that tries to explain reality”, according to the artist.
Jessica Perlstein
Another frequent live painter and contributor to the visionary art and festival scene is Jessica Perlstein. Her travels to the Peruvian Amazon, where she learned to work with plant teachers, got her fully inspired.
Her message: “If you listen to your gut instincts and intuitions and follow your heart despite seemingly difficult feats, any dream can be achieved.”
Anderson Debernardi
Like no other Anderson Debernardi manages to catch the multiple interwoven dimensions of the ayahuasca experience on canvas. His paintings are mainly inspired by the potent Amazon brew, but also by experiences with other shamanic plants, like in this picture datura.

Natalie Shau is a mixed media artist and photographer. She combines fashion and portrait photography with digital illustration and photo art to create marvellous and slightly disturbing fairy tale worlds.
