A CNN reporter noticed the pungent line of plants growing in the dry fields surrounding the five-metre high concrete walls. He showed to the camera the marijuana hidden alongside other - less exciting - crops including cabbages and potatoes.
However, it must be said that it is not unusual to find patches of wild cannabis growing in this region of Pakistan.
The folks at The 420 Times suggest that Bin Laden was using cannabis to treat his kidney problems.
Fact remains that it must be unbelievably stressful knowing that the world’s most powerful country is on your tail, and nothing relieves stress like the magical herb.
