Psilocybe mexicana A

This strain grows in the subtropical regions of Mexico, and has been found in Guatemala as well.

In the wild it grows in grassy areas, horse pastures and meadows. It has not been found on dung.
The yield potential of this mushroom is not very high. It’s a small mushroom and the amount is very low. But what is important is that the Psilocybe Mexicana A is able to form sclerotia. Sclerotia looks a little bit like a walnut, and this is what we know as the Philosophers stone. The sclerotia grows underneath the mushroom throughout the substrate. Under good conditions, it’s also possible to grow only the sclerotia and not the mushroom itself.
Substrate: rye grass seed (recommended), rye grain, pasteurized wheat straw
Temperature during colonization: 25-27 °C
Temperature during cropping: 23-25 °C
An excellent cultivation technique is described in the Sclerotia FAQ of the Shroomery.
Please note: The solution in this sporesyringe is black. A little carbon has been added to protect the spores from bacteria.
Warning
The "PF Classic" sporesyringe has a blunt needle.
Please note that we do not ship spore syringes outside the EU, only prints!

“I prepeared 10 agar cultures for sectoring, waited and still waiting, the miscelium's been expanding too slow and a little yelowish, but still rizomorfic in some sectors. After a month of headakes I could only made one sectoring, and lately I found maybe is the temperature (25-26 ºC : 77-78.8 ºF). I'll try again from the begining but this time at room temperature (20-23). Give me luck!!!”
