Calea zacatechichi extract 10X

Calea dream herb is also known as 'dog grass' or Calea zacatechichi ("bitter grass"). The shrub belongs to the sunflower family and grows naturally in the Mexican highlands and certain parts of Costa Rica. Calea zacatechichi measures 1 - 1.5 m in height. The plant has many branches with oviform and opposite leaves (3-5 cm long and 2-4 cm wide).

It is used by the Chontal Indians of Mexico to obtain divinatory messages during dreaming and in Mexican folk medicine as an aperitif and to improve the natural metabolism. Indians have been naming calea 'leaf of God'. It is valued for its ability to clear the senses, to induce visions in dreams and as a healing plant in general. Shamans use the herb to receive divine messages in their dreams. Ordinary people in Mexico use it to increase appetite and health product that supports among other things a natural digestion.

This is a potent 10 to 1 powdered extract, meaning that 1 gram of extract is equal in potency to 10 grams of whole herb. This is an organic extract, in which the herb is dissolved in edible grain alcohol, then the alcohol is completely evaporated, leaving nothing but a potent powdered herb concentrate.

Effects

Calea provides a restful and drowsy effect. The psychoactive effect is subtle and can be described as dreamlike. Mexican Indians consider calea a hallucinogen, although no hallucinogenic alkaloid has yet been isolated.


According to MacDougall, "sufficiency of the dose taken is said to be indicated by a sense of repose, when the person hears his own heart and pulse beat".

Usage

When smoked about 0.1 gram is needed, taken orally it requires 0.5 to 1.0 gram depending on your bodyweight, ingested food and so on.

“This is not a drug so much as a healing plant, therefore hardcore drug fiends, like those commenting below, may be disappointed to find its effects are quite subtle. It is far better suited for those interested in meditation and dream divination than those wanting to get as fucked up as possible. Subtle as its effects are, they are no less profound.”

“useless. smoked 0.7g with a bong. Smoke is harsh and doesnt burn so easy. Light buzz for a few seconds then nothing. Zero dream activity. Next time took the rest as a tea. Absolutely foul tasting brew but managed to drink it. Also zero effect. All in all very dissapointing.”
