Absinth spoon

This perforated Absinthe spoon is used to dissolve a sugar cube in a glass of absinthe.

Place the spoon over your glass after adding your absinthe and then place a sugar cube on top of the spoon. Water is then poured over the cube through the perforations of the spoon.

The adding of sugar is to sweeten the drink and to counteract its mild bitterness.
