Hello fellow psychonauts! Caffeine: The most used legal energizerResearch workers recommend a maximum intake of 300 milligrams of caffeine per day. In Belgium one in three persons between the ages of 15 and 74 consume 300 milligrams of caffeine per day, in the Netherlands this figure is 244 milligrams. This was made clear by a consultation healthtest held under 1000 people in Belgium. It even appears that in Belgium one in three persons consume more than 300 milligrams per day. 80% of the people drink coffee every day. 50% drink cola and 39% drink warm tea. The score of cola and energy drinks is high among young people between the ages of 15 and 24. 300 milligrams of caffeine is the average, but some people can handle more than others. Caffeine comes for 89% out
of coffee, for 8% out of tea and for 3% from other drinks (cola, ice tea,
energy drinks). One cup of coffee contains just as much caffeine as 0.8
cup of instant coffee, 2.2 cups of tea, 2.4 cans of cola, 2.5 cans of
ice tea and 0.9 cans of energy drinks.
The blood jolt in the body
is raised temporarily when using caffeine, but caffeine does not play
an important role in developing of hypertension. However, a high intake
of coffee during pregnancy can lead to a premature abortion. The good
news is that there are indications that caffeine fights some forms of
cancer, but the risk on pancres cancer does increase. But as long as
consumption is moderate there shouldn't be any risk. Many new energizers availableThe 6th of April 2004 was a sad day for smartshops in and outside the Netherlands. On this day all ephedra/ephedrine holding products were forbidden by European law. Except for the Netherlands, a number of other countries were also subjected to this new law. Thankfully we do have some good news. The new ephedra-free products that have been introduced since the second part of April, work and sell very well! Of course we were afraid that after the real thing, only watered-down versions and fakes would hit the market, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. Other ingredients like caffeine, colanut, guarana and ginseng extracts have had great results. A good example is our new liquid Xtenzion II. The new products are selling well and it seems like the smartshops will survive the ephedra setback as well. The last couple of years
the Dutch smartshops have dealt with at least 2 heavy blows: first the
ban on dried mushrooms in 2002, and now the ban of ephedrine. The dutch
smartshop-owners (united in the VLOS) try to work with the dutch government,
but they are also slowly losing their grip, because the drug policy
is becoming a matter of discussion for the European Union... so we’ll
have to wait and see what happens to the Dutch smartshop… Quick Order formEspecially for our
