The most extensive guidebook on all different varieties of the Trichocereus cactus. It includes hundreds of pictures of the San Pedro and all his less known relatives, as well as their botany, chemistry and history.

“An absolute need for San Pedro aficionados. Overwhelming, all the avaliable knowledge about our bitter and spiny friends, taken from many and difficult to find sources, with the critical work of the author, guiding us through the labyrinth of species, reports, hybrids and chemical compositions (leaving many gaps, of course. Itīs shameful that no scientifics have studied some questions regarding this plants).
Aniway, the B/W photos donīt let the reader apreciate an important character, as can be the colour and glaucity of the skin. A key for Trichocereus (and a modern one that improves Briton & Roseīs and integrates the advancements of science since the 30īs) would be needed.”
